Audi, Huawei announce partnership to test Level 4 automated driving in China

Companies entered collaboration agreement in July this year

Audi and Huawei will cooperate to develop self-driving technology for Audi vehicles that will be sold in China, the two companies announced at the Huawei Connect 2018 event in Shanghai, China last week. According to Saad Metz, executive vice president of research and development (R&D), Audi China, the two companies are evaluating joint development of highly automated driving functions and future oriented vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communications.
