Bosch decides against producing EV battery cells in-house
Company to discontinue its research activities into current and future cell technologies
Bosch has decided against producing battery cells for use in electrified vehicles (EV) in-house, citing economic reasons, the leading automotive supplier said in a press release on 28 February. Instead, the German supplier will continue working with cell suppliers to design cells for hybrids and electric vehicles batteries and buys cells from them.
