Hyundai, Kia set up V2X communication system in Korea to test self-driving vehicle technology
Korean automakers signed agreement with the Hwaseong city government to jointly develop V2X system last year
Hyundai and Kia have installed vehicle-to-everything (V2X) system on a 14 kilometer (km) stretch of a road in Hwaseong, South Korea, Yonhap News Agency said last week. The two Korean automakers will use the stretch of the road with seven intersections to carry out detailed research to verify the validity and effectiveness of V2X system for self-driving cars.
