Basquevolt to begin production of solid-state batteries by 2027
Basquevolt’s initial objectives entail developing prototype cells and commissioning of a pilot production line in 2025, with a view to actually starting production in 2027
Basquevolt, a Spanish battery technology company founded by the Basque Government, Iberdrola, CIE Automotive, Enagás, EIT InnoEnergy, and CIC energiGUNE, plans to begin production of solid-state battery cells in 2027 with the aim of producing up to 10GWh of batteries, EIT InnoEnergy announced on 10 June 2022.
