Audi FAW to set up EV manufacturing plant in Changchun, mainland China
Production is slated to commence by end 2024 in the planned facility, which will have a capacity to roll out 150,000 electric cars annually
Audi FAW NEV Company Ltd, a joint venture between Volkswagen’s premium carmaker and Chinese state-owned vehicle manufacturer FAW Group, plan to build a manufacturing facility for electric vehicles in Changchun, China after receiving the necessary approvals from the local authorities to begin the construction, the German carmaker said in an official statement on 16 February 2022.
