As mainland China moves away from subsidies and toward more open NEV policies, automakers are expected to have more options in choosing their NEV strategy and technology that best fits their business in mainland China

Globally, Mainland China has among the most dynamic new energy vehicle (NEV) policy, which is being updated regularly to be in sync with the economic conditions, market demand, and technology developments. The initial heavy subsidies given by the central government are seen to have largely done the job of assisting a quick transitioning towards electrified vehicles in mainland China.
