AVCC will collaborate to accelerate the deployment of safer and affordable autonomous vehicles at large scale

UK-based Arm Holdings has joined forces with major automakers, tier1 suppliers and computing companies to establish ‘Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium (AVCC)’, a new consortium to accelerate the deployment of safer and affordable autonomous vehicles, the company said in a press release on 8 October. The consortium, officially launched by Arm at its Arm TechCon event in San Jose, California, United States, on Tuesday, brings together General Motors (GM), Toyota, Bosch, Continental, Denso, NVIDIA and NXP Semiconductors to work together to make fully autonomous vehicle a reality.
