Veoneer joins Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium
A conceptual, scalable compute platform will play a critical role in the advancement of autonomous vehicles, says Veoneer CTO
Veoneer has joined Autonomous Vehicle Computing Consortium (AVCC), a consortium established last month to accelerate deployment of safer and affordable autonomous vehicles, the company said in a press release on 19 November. The consortium is focusing on developing a conceptual compute platform architecture, its hardware requirement and software application programming interfaces (APIs) to build an autonomous vehicle ecosystem. The conceptual architecture is expected to help the AVCC members to take their autonomous driving technology from the prototype systems currently to deployment at scale.
