Aims to reduce fuel consumption by at least 50%

Cummins has received a grant of USD4.5 million from the US Department of Energy (DOE) to develop a Class 6 commercial plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, with an aim to reduce fuel consumption by at least 50% over conventional counterpart, says a press release.
