Thyssenkrupp and Volkswagen commit to low-carbon steel supply
The partnership is expected to start supplying Volkswagen with steel in 2028, gradually increasing over time
At the International Suppliers Fair (IZB) in Wolfsburg, Germany, thyssenkrupp Steel and Volkswagen Group signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding the future supply of low-carbon steel, produced at thyssenkrupp Steel's direct reduction plant set to be operational by 2027.
