The initiative to ban imports of connected vehicles with technology from China and Russia aims to protect US national security

The US Commerce Department issued a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) on Monday (Sept. 23) which, if approved, would ban sale or import of vehicles that incorporate connectivity technologies from countries of concern, specifically mainland China and Russia.
