Aiming for carbon-neutral production, Borealis commits to using Finnish plastic waste and enhancing energy efficiency by 2035

Borealis has taken a significant step toward sustainability by participating in the Finnish Environment Ministry's Circular Economy Green Deal (KGD), a program announced on Sept. 12, 2024. This initiative encourages organizations to adopt practices that minimize their use of natural resources and champion the transition to a low-carbon circular economy. With this move, Borealis aims to steer Finland's plastics industry toward sustainable practices, including the use of renewable raw materials, achieving carbon-neutral production and fostering a circular economy for plastics.
