The regulations will limit use of Chinese software in vehicles with Level 3 automation or higher to address security risks

The US Commerce Department has planned to introduce regulations aimed at restricting the use of Chinese software within autonomous and connected vehicles operating in the US, according to sources familiar with the matter, Reuters reported Aug. 5.
