BMW, NTT Data establish new IT and software hubs in Romania

The center will focus on areas like connected procurement, digital shopfloor and direct sales model

BMW has expanded its global network of information technology (IT) and software hubs with opening of a new center called “BMW TechWorks Romania” in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, the automaker said in a press release on July 4. In collaboration with Japanese partner NTT Data, BMW TechWorks Romania will become a key hub for the German carmaker’s IT and software projects in Europe. The investment will accelerate BMW’s digital transformation.
