JLR and Chery have signed a letter of intent to license the Freelander brand to CJLR for jointly developing a range of new EVs built on Chery’s EV architecture

British luxury-car maker Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and Chery Automobile Co. are deepening their 12-year partnership to strengthen their equal joint venture company — called CJLR — product offerings in mainland China, JLR announced June 19.
