Kobe Steel to incorporate green aluminum in Nissan's vehicles
Some of the car components to be made from green aluminum are bumper reinforcements, door guard bars and suspension parts, in addition to aluminum sheet products already supplied to Nissan.
In a press release dated May 21, Kobe Steel announced that it will use green aluminum into its aluminum extrusion and suspension products for Nissan Motor. These products will be used in Nissan's mass-manufactured vehicles destined for the Japanese and North American markets, starting in fiscal year 2024.
