Honda, Asahi Kasei to collaborate on Li-ion separator production in Canada

Honda Motor Co. Ltd. and Asahi Kasei Corporation have reached a basic agreement on collaborating for the production of battery separators for automotive batteries in Canada. The two companies aim to establish a joint venture company by the end of 2024 through detailed discussions. Battery separators are crucial components of lithium-ion batteries, preventing electrical short circuits while allowing lithium ions to permeate.
