Startups assume key position in next-generation EV battery technology development
The strongest startup activity witnessed in the last few years were in solid-state battery, silicon-anode and sodium-ion battery technology.
There is a viewpoint that the current generation lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery for electric vehicles is close to reaching its performance peak and would need to evolve to meet EV owners’ requirements. The advancement of EV battery technology will be one of the keys to making EVs more practical and affordable.
