US Steel may benefit from the spending and tax incentives implemented in President Joe Biden's infrastructure bill

Japan's Nippon Steel has clinched a deal to buy US Steel for $14.9 billion in an auction, which also saw participation from competitors such as including Cleveland-Cliffs, ArcelorMittal and Nucor, according to a news report published by Reuters on Dec. 19.
