High installation costs continues to hinder mass deployment of public EV chargers
Government support in the form of incentives and tax concessions would be important to drive growth of the EV charging industry, till the time the utilization rate per charger reaches healthy levels.
Hundreds of thousands of electric vehicle charging stations are needed around the world to support the transition to electric mobility. However, not all countries are moving at the same pace to build public EV charging infrastructure. This is due to many reasons, including the growth rate of EV sales and cost of acquiring and installing charging stations, which can vary significantly in many countries due to state and federal credits, rebates and incentives.
