Dry electrode coating process gaining prominence in lithium-ion cell manufacturing
Dry coating technology, although still in its infancy, can take lithium-ion (Li-on) cell production to a new level and offer significant cost advantages to original equipment manufacturers, other than helping them meet their overall CO2 emissions targets
The general belief that 100% electrification of vehicles is a silver bullet to end all emissions-related concerns of the automotive sector is not as convincing anymore, as the focus is squarely on net zero, the ambit of which extends far beyond zero tailpipe emissions. The net-zero emissions concept includes the manufacturing process, the source of the energy used in manufacturing and the emissions emanating from the entire supply chain.
