EU announces new rules for autonomous vehicles to improve road safety
The new Vehicle General Safety Regulation was enacted on 6 July 2022
The EU has introduced new technical rules mandating advanced driver assistant systems (ADAS) to improve road safety and has established the legal framework for the approval of automated and fully driverless vehicles in the EU, according to a press release on 6 July 2022.
