GM shutting down its Marketplace has prompted questions about the direction OEMs should take in order to sustain usage

Earlier this year, General Motors (GM) reportedly shut down its in-vehicle “Marketplace.” The service, launched in 2017, was the automotive industry’s first in-car e-commerce platform allowing customers to order food and beverages, pay for fuel, and reserve a table at a restaurant, among other services.
