GM to invest USD40 million in propulsion system plant in US
Automaker also announces USD6.7 million investment in another engine plant the country
GM has announced plans to invest USD40 million in its Spring Hill global propulsion system (GPS) plant in Tennessee, the United States, to ramp up 5.3 L, V8 engine production capacity, the automaker said in a press release on 16 January. The company equips its select full-size SUVs and trucks including the Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe and Suburban as well as GMC Sierra, with the 5.3 L, V8 engines.
