The strategic partnership will allow AWS to power Autonomic’s TMC, providing automakers and software developers the cloud infrastructure needed to build connected vehicle services at scale

Ford and its wholly-owned subsidiary Autonomic have entered a multi-year agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to expand the availability of cloud connectivity services and connected car application development for the automotive industry, the US automaker said in a press release on 23 April. Autonomic has built an open platform called the Transportation Mobility Cloud, which enables bidirectional connectivity between vehicles and applications (apps). The strategic partnership will allow AWS to power Autonomic’s TMC, providing automakers and software developers the cloud infrastructure needed to build connected vehicle services at scale.
