The idea of a vehicle diagnosing the occupant’s health and wellness would have sounded outlandish a couple of decades back, when it was almost unimaginable to think of development areas that do not relate to the automotive core competencies. Fast forward to the present scenario – now eyeing a much bigger target of creating a driverless vehicle ecosystem – technology penetration has made it possible to look beyond core automotive applications and to get more details out of a vehicle generating newer insights around the ‘occupant’ as well as the ecosystem.
