EPS drives demand for subcomponent systems market
OEMs and suppliers in low-volume regions look to catch up with global growth trends in EPS market
About seven suppliers cater to 75% of the world’s power steering systems demand, serving more than ten customers. However, the supplier base for ECUs and motors is less expansive than for power steering systems. To put this in perspective, two-thirds of the PSS ECU demand is catered to by about five major suppliers, as is the case for motor suppliers. The supplier base for hydraulic pumps however is slightly larger, at eight suppliers catering to two-thirds of the world’s demand in power steering systems.
