U.S. EV sales facing headwinds under the new administration
Consumer demand for EVs will decide the future of sustainable mobility in the U.S.
The United States of America enjoys the moniker of being the most technologically powerful economy in the world and with its strong hold in world affairs, it is also unquestionably a major influencer in global policy making. In terms of automotive production, the United States is the second largest car manufacturer in the world. According to IHS, close to 12 million light vehicles were manufactured in the country in 2016, out of which 0.3 million were electric vehicles (EVs).
