Adient: business impact and outlook
2017 remains a crucial debut year for Adient, after undergoing an enormous transition last year, to carry forward the market dominance from its parent Johnson Controls
Operating as an independent company, Adient – the result of a spun off from its parent Johnson Controls has taken charge of the automotive seating and interior business. Post October 2016, Adient’s common stock began trading independently as the new ‘separated’ automotive arm of Johnson Controls. Donning a new strategy for its business outlook, the decision to create Adient was not only to offer a new ‘name’ to the market but was very much linked to streamline Johnson Control’s product portfolio in respect to its other major arms – power solution, batteries and building efficiency business.
