Connected car consumer survey 2016: displays, touch, speech lead HMI preferences
The IHS Automotive Connected Car Survey - 2016, which will be published in the coming weeks, surveys over 4,000 new car intenders from the US, UK, Germany, and China on a range of topics including infotainment systems, telematics services, HMI, apps and smartphone usage, over-the-air updates, ADAS, and autonomous cars. Data from this latest evaluation suggests that consumer preference is dominated by just a handful of HMI inputs and outputs, marking a clear path for automakers to address the current dissatisfaction with infotainment systems as a whole.
