Chinese automaker Great Wall and GoAuto begin construction of second plant in Malaysia
MGo Automobile Manufacturing (GoAuto) partner with Great Wall to build a second factory in Malaysia to produce energy-efficient vehicles
Malaysia's Go Automobile Manufacturing (GoAuto), in collaboration with Great Wall Motors of China, is spending MYR250 million (USD69.2 million) to construct a second factory in Malaysia to produce energy-efficient vehicles (EEVs), reports local publication the Rakyat Post. Scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2016, the plant will enable the company to double its annual production capacity to 50,000 units from 25,000 currently, according to the report. The plant will be situated in the same location of Garun Industrial Park in Kedah state in north Malaysia where Great Wall has had a plant operational since 2013.
