Light vehicle production continues a general theme of stronger performance in the immediate near-term as production in several regions ramps up and inventory restocking accelerates. As a result of this the first half of 2023 has carried forward a trend of increasing revenues and stable shipments in the realm of automotive semiconductor supplies. This trend signifies an overall rise in Average Selling Prices (ASPs). Notably, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) as well as hybrid and electric vehicles have displayed remarkable growth, experiencing revenue increases of over 30% in 2023 compared to the previous year. In contrast, the segments of infotainment and telematics have encountered a more modest revenue growth of 8% in 2023, as opposed to the 27% growth observed in 2022. As a result of this the average semiconductor content per car (minus aftermarket and commercial vehicles) is expected to reach USD1,364 in 2029, up from USD 818 in 2022.
