The Commission’s Action Plan aims to address the risks surrounding European automotive industry by promoting deeper collaborations, providing financial assistance and simplifying regulations that can support market growth

On March 5, the European Commission rolled out an ‘Industrial Action Plan’ to define a framework that can help ramp up Europe’s research and development (R&D) and industrial capacities amid global transition to zero emission vehicles (ZEVs). The Action Plan focuses on key technology areas such as battery and battery material supply chain, autonomous and connected car tech, software and hardware, charging infrastructure among several others.
