Volkswagen, Audi recall nearly 14,000 EVs in the US to fix issues with onboard 12-volt battery chargers
The failure of the OCDC can lead to the inability to charge the low-voltage battery that powers various accessories and safety functionalities of the vehicle.
Volkswagen Group of America, the North American subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, is recalling 13,769 electric vehicles (EVs) across the US, involving models from Volkswagen and Audi, due to a potential loss of power while driving, InsideEVs reported on March 10. The recall includes the model year 2024 Volkswagen ID.4, and the 2024-2025 the Audi Q4 E-Tron and Audi Q4 E-Tron Sportback.
