Validation marks a significant step in evolving Mission Critical Communications with enhanced features for public safety and utilities

Keysight Technologies, Inc. and Alea S.r.l have successfully validated the first mission-critical 3GPP Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access (EUTRA) test case for mission-critical-push-to-talk (MCPTT) using the Keysight S8704A Protocol Conformance Toolset during the Global Certification Forum (GCF) Conformance Agreement Group (CAG) meeting. This development is a significant milestone in the evolution of Mission Critical Communications (MCX), including MCPTT, a standard that promises enhanced, reliable, and efficient communication for sectors like public safety, security, transportation, and utilities. The transition from narrowband to broadband in MCX, facilitated by The Critical Communications Association (TCCA), aims to incorporate advanced features such as video calling, with conformance testing ensuring high reliability and performance.
