Nidec’s 9-month FY2024/25 sales rises 11.5% year over year to $12.5 billion

The Japanese supplier has not made any change its guidance for the current financial year ending March 31.

Nidec Corp. has reported an 11.5% year-over-year increase in net sales to ¥1.94 trillion ($12.5 billion) in the first nine months of the financial year 2024/25, ended Dec. 31, 2024. Higher sales drove the company’s operating profit up by 5% year over year to ¥175.5 billion. However, Nidec witnessed a 4.7% year-over-year decline in profit before income tax to ¥182.5 billion. The company also recorded a 6.7% year-over-year decline in net profit to ¥134.6 billion.
