Audi commences production of PPE-based EVs at new Changchun plant in mainland China

The new plant, with annual production capacity of over 150,000 vehicles, is expected to contribute significantly to Audi’s electrification strategy in the world largest automotive market.

Audi has commenced the production of its first fully electric vehicles based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) in mainland China, signifying a significant advancement in its electrification strategy for the Chinese market. These vehicles, including the Audi Q6L e-tron and the Audi Q6L Sportback e-tron, are being manufactured by Audi FAW NEV Co., a joint venture with FAW, at a newly established plant in Changchun.
