US allocates $7.86 billion to Intel for semiconductor projects
Supporting Intel’s projects across four states, the funding aims to boost job creation and enhance US semiconductor capabilities
According to a press release on Nov. 26, the US Commerce Department has allocated up to $7.86 billion in direct funding to Intel Corp. under the US CHIPS and Science Act, supporting Intel's semiconductor manufacturing projects across Arizona, New Mexico, Ohio and Oregon.
