S&P Global Mobility spoke to Hans-Hendrik Puvogel, the chief operating officer (COO) at Parkopedia, to understand the in-car payments space as it stands today and is likely to evolve going forward.
Founded in 2007, Parkopedia has become a key player in the emerging in-car payments market. It is one of the world's leading connected car services providers. The Parkopedia app today is used by millions of drivers globally for not just parking-related solutions but finding and paying for fuel, EV charging, road tolls and other connected car services in over 20,000 cities across 90 countries. As the COO, Dr. Puvogel’s main responsibilities at Parkopedia include driving sales and marketing, as well as managing operations across Parkopedia’s markets in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia.
