LG Energy Solution to supply 4695 cylindrical batteries to Rivian
Within the first year of production, LGES will produce its 4695 cylindrical batteries at its stand-alone plant in Arizona and deliver to Rivian’s facility in Normal
South Korean battery-maker LG Energy Solution (LGES) announced Nov. 8 that its fully owned subsidiary LG Energy Solution Arizona has signed a supply agreement with Rivian to provide the US-based electric-vehicle maker with its advanced 4695 cylindrical batteries for over five years, totaling 67 GWh.
