BMW CEO Oliver Zipse has voiced concerns over Europe's strategy to phase out sales of new internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles by the middle of the next decade, suggesting that such a move would increase European automakers' dependency on mainland Chinese battery suppliers, Reuters reported Oct. 15.
