The probe follows four reports of collisions linked to Tesla's autonomous driving software, resulting in one fatality and one injury

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA's) Office of Defects Investigation has initiated a preliminary investigation into approximately 2.4 million Tesla Inc. vehicles, according to a report published by Automotive News on Oct. 18.
