Hyundai Motor plans to begin battery production from 2027
Hyundai is looking to build battery production lines with a capacity of 1-2 GWh at its R&D center in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea
South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor Co. is planning in-house development of electric vehicle batteries and will set up its first EV battery production lines by around 2027, according to a news report published by The Korea Economic Daily on Sept. 24.
