Forge Battery to expand North Carolina, US, gigafactory with $100 million US DOE award
The expansion will triple production to meet demand for domestic battery cells, creating over 280 jobs and using US-sourced materials
Forge Battery, a subsidiary of Forge Nano Inc., is set to negotiate a $100 million award with the US Energy Department's Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC) for the expansion of its North Carolina, US, lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery gigafactory.
