Panasonic Energy to begin mass production of 4680 lithium-ion batteries
The batteries, offering five times the capacity of current models, are set to boost EVs' range and reduce costs
Panasonic Energy Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Panasonic Group, has announced its readiness to initiate mass production of the 4680 cylindrical automotive lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries following the completion of preparatory measures.
