Toyota sold about 104,000 EVs in 2023, which accounted for only 1% of its global sales

Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corp. has slashed its electric vehicle production plans for 2026 by about 30%, becoming the latest vehicle manufacturer to trim down its electric car production plans amid slowing demand for EVs globally, according to a news report published by Reuters on Sept. 6.
