Protean Electric completes validation of groundbreaking in-wheel motor

In a press release dated Aug. 27, Protean Electric announced that it has successfully completed the full validation program of its all-new ProteanDrive Generation 5 (Gen 5) in-wheel motor (IWM), which has emerged as an industry leader with a peak torque of 1,500 Newton meter Nm within an 18-inch IWM. The rigorous integrated validation program covered all relevant legislation, regulations, and original equipment manufacturer standards, involving tests on over 80 IWMs across 64 test programs, ultimately achieving a new standard for IWM performance.
