New display innovations continue to elevate in-car experiences
Automakers around the world are introducing innovative in-car entertainment features that are focused not just on the driver and the front passenger but also on the rear seat occupants. As a result, curved pillar-to-pillar displays, big movable screens for rear-seat entertainment, holographic transparent displays, displays for rear-view mirrors, and head-up displays are fast gaining traction.
Drivers today want more intuitive, interactive and personalized in-vehicle displays thanks to ever-rising connectivity, autonomy and even vehicle sharing possibilities. Visual stimulation and information presentation is more crucial to drivers and passengers today, whether for vehicle operation or infotainment. Consequently, automakers are gradually shifting their focus from cranking up horsepower to enriching mobility experiences and are leveraging in-car display innovations as a means to differentiate and enhance their brand.
