US DOE approves $50 million grants to help six states in EV transition

The initiative aims to help small- and medium-sized manufacturers transition to EV production, ensuring job retention and clean energy advancements

The US Department of Energy has announced grants of $50 million to assist six states with significant automotive workforces. The states which have qualified for the funding are Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Illinois. This funding is aimed at aiding small- and medium-sized manufacturers in adapting their facilities for electric-vehicle component production.
