Several lighting suppliers have demonstrated lidar sensor integration in headlights, still, automakers seem reluctant to offer such headlights in production vehicles
Automakers are equipping new vehicles with a rising number of sensing solutions such as cameras, radars, lidar and ultrasonic sensors, to enable various advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and automated driving functions. These sensors combined provide the vehicle with a 360-degree view of its surroundings to enhance driver safety.
